About
About
Hi! My name is Bree, and I’m here to share books I’ve read and written! I love romance, fantasy, and romantasy–and I primarily read young adult (YA), new adult (NA), and adult (A) books. I aim to read at least 35 books a year, and because few people are as obsessed with books as I am, I’m hoping to build an online community of book lovers.
I’ll probably post the occasional book review, but I’m mostly going to be sharing my lists of my favorite books and giving sneak peaks into my own writing. Stay tuned for bookish updates and publishing news!
Genres
Whether YA, NA, or adult, I read romance, fantasy, and romantasy. When looking at the books I’ve read in the past few years, I would say 60% contemporary romance, 30% romantasy, and 10% fantasy. What can I say…I love some good romantic tension!

Frequently Asked Questions
How do you rate books?
I will rate books using a simple 1-5 star rating, along with a 1-5 pepper rating to indicate spice level!
How many books do you read?
I read about 35 books a year, give or take.
Where do you get books?
I almost exclusively read books on my phone through the Kindle and Nook apps. I will get books via my library, Amazon’s KDP program, and Netgalley. If I can’t find a book through one of those options, I will buy it online.
Will you read my book?
Maybe! I only want to read books that are already published. I have no preference whether they are traditionally published or self-published. If you think I might like your book, please reach out via the contact page.
What are your favorite tropes?
Opposites attract
Enemies-to-lovers
Second chance
Fated mates
Forbidden love
Do you liked enemies-to-lovers romance?
I love enemies to lovers, however, I DON’T like sexual assualt by the love interest. There’s a difference between being enemies (say on opposite sides of a war or both competing for one work opportunity) and abusing someone. I love the tension and the eventual intimacy–but it needs to be earned, not forced.
Do you have a preference for point of view?
I love first person! I prefer dual POV, but I am happy to read single POV too. I really struggle with third person, especially in contemporary romance.
What are some of your favorite books?
A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas
The Cruel Prince by Holly Black
First Flight, Final Fall by CW Farnsworth
The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden by Jessica Sorensen
House of Ash and Shadow by Leia Stone
The Last She by HJ Nelson
